It was a conversation between Bill and the late Paul Newman that spurred the creation of Next Step. Bill has over twenty years experience as a youth program facilitator both in the U.S. and abroad. His vision and firsthand experience are the cornerstones for the programs, network and support that Next Step provides.
Kepler facilitates Next Step’s programs and develops program curricula. Whether brainstorming new educational games based upon his vast Minute to Win It knowledge, or working with our youth task force to hash out discussion topics for an upcoming summer campference, he is our multi-talented hands-on program man.
Kimberly is Next Step’s resident music therapist. She works across all of Next Step’s programs to help teens and young adults explore and capture their life stories and find their voices through lyrics, harmonies and grooves. Her therapeutic expertise and boundless musical talent make the work she does with Next Step youth nothing short of magic.
Jessica wears many hats behind the scenes at Next Step, ranging from bookkeeper, to office and database management, to coordinating programs and events. She uses her natural talent for systems management and her background as a professional organizer to keep us all in line so that Next Step keeps humming along smoothly day in, and day out!
Nancy heads up Next Step’s fundraising and communications efforts, overseeing donor outreach, grants and events. Her background is in nonprofit and foundation management. Nancy works closely with Next Step’s Board of Directors to make sure our fundraising goals are met.
Colin supports the Next Step marketing and development efforts as the Communications Coordinator. He leads online communications efforts with the Next Step website, social media and other online initiatives. He also assists with grant writing, event coordination, and print literature.
Quita is the resident people person at Next Step. She is responsible for connecting awesome young people and their providers to our programs. She is all about having young people get in the conversation that matter to them and their illness. She creates a virtual space for young people and their communities to continue their conversations no matter where they are in the world.
