Benefit events are a key part of Next Step's fundraising strategy, and a whole lot of fun, too. We welcome all to attend our Next-Step hosted fundraisers, and invite you to consider hosting your own benefit as well.
Mark your calendars for our Eighth Annual Spring Benefit & Celebration on Friday March 18, 2016 at the Walker Memorial Building on the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA. With live music, delicious food and drinks, a silent auction and a room full of fun and generous people, we always have a wonderful time welcoming our friends and supporters to a fabulous night out on the town. We hope you'll join us- stay tuned for more info and online ticket sales after the new year! Contact Nancy Hays for event ticket or event sponsorship information.
All of us at Next Step were honored to be part of the John Hancock Nonprofit Marathon for the second straight year and participate in the 119th Boston Marathon on April 20, 2015. Our 2015 Boston Marathon team raised funds and important awareness for our youth living with cancer, HIV and rare genetic diseases. We are thrilled to report that all four members of Team Next Step finished the historic 26.2 with smiles! Thank you John Hancock and their wonderful nonprofit program for this wonderful opportunity!
Each August Next Step hosts a fundraising running team at this beautiful 7-mile race on Cape Cod, MA. Each runner raises at least $1000 towards Next Step's programs, and we all have a great time enjoying summer in Falmouth. This year, the Falmouth Road Race is on August 16, 2015. Contact Nancy Hays for information on joining our 2015 team.
Each year we are extremely lucky to benefit from a variety of events hosted by generous volunteers. Past events have included a martini party, kick-ball-a-thon, concerts, lemonade stands, elementary school projects, fraternity and sorority events, and birthday celebrations. We are so grateful for these efforts and provide support and assistance with event logistics however we can. Contact Nancy Hays if you're interested in organizing a fundraiser.
