Benefit Events

Benefit events are a key part of Next Step's fundraising strategy, and a whole lot of fun, too. We welcome all to attend our Next-Step hosted fundraisers, and invite you to consider hosting your own benefit as well.

11th Annual Spring Benefit & Celebration

Mark your calendars for our Eleventh Annual Spring Benefit & Celebration on Saturday April 27, 2019 at the Boston Winery in Boston, MA. With live music, delicious food and drinks, a silent auction and a room full of fun and generous people, we always have a wonderful time welcoming our friends and supporters to a fabulous night out on the town. Email Nancy Hays, Next Step Development Director, if you would like to sponsor this unique event.

2019 Boston Marathon

All of us at Next Step are honored to be invited back to participate in the 123rd Boston Marathon on behalf of the John Hancock Marathon Non-Profit Program - our sixth straight year! This year we were awarded two bibs in this historic race. Our 2019 Boston Marathon team will be raising funds to support our free year-round programming for young people living with cancer, HIV and rare genetic disorders. Thank you John Hancock and their wonderful nonprofit program for this life-changing opportunity!

2019 Falmouth Road Race

Each August Next Step runs the Falmouth Road Race, a beautiful 7-mile race on Cape Cod, MA. Each runner raises at least $1000 towards Next Step's programs, and we all have a great time enjoying summer in Falmouth. The 2019 Falmouth Road Race is on Sunday, August 18th. Email Nancy Hays for information on joining our 2019 team.

2019 Fishers Island Charity Golf Tournament

For a fourth straight year Fishers Island is hosting a charity golf tournament benefiting Next Step. Enjoy an unforgettable round of golf at the 1926 Seth Raynor masterpiece ranked 15th in the world by Golf DigestEmail Nancy Hays if you would like to play or become a sponsor of the Fishers Island Charity Golf Tournament. Fishers Island is located off the southeastern coast of Connecticut accessible by boat or private plane. The golf course has ocean views from tees and greens on all 18 holes, and many well-travelled golfers consider it to be the most beautiful course in North America. The tournament format is a "one best ball" net and gross format.

Organize your Own Benefit

Each year we are extremely lucky to benefit from a variety of events hosted by generous volunteers. Past events have included a martini party, kick-ball-a-thon, concerts, lemonade stands, elementary school projects, fraternity and sorority events, and birthday celebrations. We are so grateful for these efforts and provide support and assistance with event logistics however we can. Contact Nancy Hays if you're interested in organizing a fundraiser or sponsoring a Next Step event.
