Welcome, and thanks for visiting the Next Step Web site. We're pleased that you've decided to learn more about our organization, and hope that you'll find our programs useful. Before we go any further, let's explain why we're here, and what we hope to accomplish:

Our mission is to shatter limitations and elevate aspirations of teens and young adults impacted by cancer and life-threatening blood disease.

That's it for the serious information! Now let's get to the good stuff. Do you want to participate in our program, conquer some challenges, and have fun along the way? Or maybe you'd like to contribute your money, resources, time or talent to our worthy cause. (If you want to be generous, we won't argue.)

Now that you are here, take off your coat and stay awhile. Hear from young people, read up on programs, check out how to help. It's all a click away.

""I was skeptical about coming, didn't really want to - I thought I had dealt with my disease, but the staff at DFCI and my family have been trying to get me to a 'support group' for months. I agreed to come to the weekend basically to 'shut them up'. By the end of the Friday night I realized I did need to know others my own age, that have had similar experiences. They really are the only ones that understand what it is like to go through what I have been through and continue to go through. I made friendships that weekend that I expect will last quite some time. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again as well as attending future retreats." " Read More Testimonials like this one »
