One Love: No Longer Voiceless Conference

This five-day, residential program is an annual event held on a Massachusetts college campus. The conference is designed and led by young people with HIV, for young people with HIV. Youth engage in creative learning through music, theater, poetry and photography. Dynamic discussions about the issues they face are paired with life-skills workshops taught by community leaders. Youth leave armed with information, education, and a new network of peers who share their life experience.

The conference covers a wide range of issues including:

  • Disease progression
  • Adherence to medication
  • Transition to adult health care
  • Disclosure
  • Relationships and sexual health
  • Financial management
  • Resume writing and interviewing
  • Nutrition, fitness and stress management
  • Substance use
  • HIV and the law
  • Going to college
  • Public speaking
  • Advocacy and social media.
