December 1st marks the annual World AIDS Day.

At Next Step, we offer free programming for young adults, 16-29, with HIV. These are opportunities to be part of a community with peers who "get it". We provide a safe space to learn that you aren't alone, that HIV doesn't define who you are, and it doesn't dictate the course of your life.

You did it! Giving Tuesday was a major success. We received enough donations to receive a $5,000 gift from generous friends of Next Step!

Now, more teens and young adults living with cancer, HIV, and rare genetic disorders are able to:

- Connect safely with their peers

- Practice using their voice in our Song Studio music program

- Share their life experiences with mentors who have walked in their shoes.

These Next Step programs are essential for seriously ill young people to begin to imagine a future they never thought possible and start taking the steps to live that future.

A heartfelt thank you for being an important part of the Next Step community in so many ways.
