It’s a slur, it’s dehumanizing and patients hate it. I hate it.
Don’t use it and correct those that do
We`re just 4 days away from the 2023 Tackle Sickle Cell Casino Night!
We don`t know about you, but we`re looking forward to a great night out! Gambling (with "funny" money), raffle items, and @mccourtytwins it`s going to be amazing!

As Childhood Cancer Awareness month comes to a close, we want to share with you some great organizations that are doing really important work to help this population.
@elephantsandteamagazine with a mission "To build community and support for the AYA cancer community through wellness, storytelling, education, and research"
@connectingchampions which gives "kids & young adults the agency to explore professions, envision life beyond cancer, and reclaim their identity"
@lucys_love_bus with the mission to "deliver joy, comfort, and quality of life to children with cancer and their families through free integrative therapies and holistic support"
It`s so important that this population has support systems like these as they grow up.
