One of the important programs offered at our residential Summer Campferences are the expressive arts workshops. Our workshops are not only fun for our Campference attendees, they are therapeutic. Fellow Next Stepper Laura led the expressive arts workshops at our three 2019 Summer Campferences. She taught our young participants art skills and how to use them to communicate messages that are important to them. The process was fun and helped our Campference attendees cope, reflect, set goals, and grow.
In Laura’s words:
“I was available to them to help assist with supplies, questions, and suggestions so the participants could create whatever and however they wanted to express themselves.”
We’ve yet to show you the amazing things that came out of those programs. This is just a teeny tiny sample of some of that art.
