UPDATE: 52 Next Step supporters have donated to our #GivingTuesdayNOW – “55 on 5/5 Challenge”
Dear Friends and Supporters,
The impact of COVID-19 on Next Step was felt immediately. The teens and young adults we serve, suffer from serious underlying health concerns, that make them most at risk for serious or terminal illness resulting from contracting the coronavirus. The uncertainty of COVID-19 has affected everyone, but for these youth who are already vulnerable and isolated, the impact has been amplified exponentially.
Our young people needed us now more than ever, and we needed to show up. We quickly evolved to be able to deliver some of our programs that have become even more critical to our Next Step participants during this crisis, virtually. But there is much, much more work to be done and we cannot do it alone. Help us meet the challenge of providing them with robust Online Next Step Programs.
#GivingTuesdayNOW, today on May 5th, has given us the perfect opportunity to connect our supporters and our participants.
Please take the “55 on 5/5 Challenge” to support Next Step. If we receive 55 or more unique donations by midnight tonight, a Friend of Next Step will give a generous matching gift of $5,500. Any amount helps.
We remain encouraged that with your support, once through this incredible challenge of COVID-19, Next Step will have designed programming able to reach even more young adults, including some of the most fragile and isolated.
